The primary coverages on a Florida automobile insurance policy fall into six main categories; liability, medical
payments, uninsured motorists, damage to your auto, transportation expenses and personal injury protection. Your

Liability coverage
Your auto insurance company will pay damages for bodily injury or property damage for which you become legally
responsible because of an auto accident. The decision to settle or defend any claim or suit asking for these
damages is made by the auto insurance company. All defense costs incurred by the company are in addition to the
limit of liability indicated in your declarations page. Responsibility for the company ends once the selected limit of
liability has been exhausted by payment of judgments or settlements.
Medical payments
This coverage will pay expenses incurred for medical and funeral services because of bodily injury. Injuries must be
caused by an accident and sustained by an insured. The policyholder, resident family member and any other person
occupying your vehicle as listed in the declarations page is considered an insured. The policyholder and resident
family member is also afforded protection as a pedestrian when struck by a vehicle.
Uninsured motorist
Damages an insured is legally entitled to recover from the owner or operator of an uninsured vehicle because of
bodily injury is provided by this coverage. For coverage to apply injuries must be sustained by an insured person
and caused by a motor vehicle accident. An insured person is the policyholder, resident family member and any
other person occupying your vehicle listed in the declarations page. Coverage as a pedestrian is provided to the
policyholder, and other individuals named in the declarations page.
Damage to your automobile
Payment for direct and accidental loss to a vehicle listed in the declarations page, minus any applicable deductible, is
provided by this coverage. Damages to your auto fall into two categories; collision and other than collision
(comprehensive). Collision and comprehensive are separate and a policyholder selects the desired coverage and
pays the corresponding premium. Collision pays for damage to your auto caused by a collision with another vehicle
or object. Other than collision pays for damage to your auto caused by; missiles or falling objects, fire, theft or
larceny, explosion or earthquake, windstorm, hail, water or flood, malicious mischief or vandalism, riot or civil
commotion, contact with bird or animal, and breakage of glass.
Transportation expenses
Temporary transportation (rental car) is provided by this coverage in the event of a loss to an insured vehicle.
Payment is limited by the amount select and indicated in the declarations page or the amount of time it takes to repair
or replace your vehicle.

This coverage is mandated by the Florida Motor Vehicle No Fault law and is addressed in the section of our website
